Mikajlo Rankovic is a transsexual transplant to NYC from Belgrade, Serbia, where he worked as a producer in Belgrade`s Cultural Center. After moving to New York and working in theater and film, he decided to start making his own documentaries. There are plenty of films out there that deal with surgeries and hormones but just a few that explore life after transition. Coming up on the 10th anniversary of his own transition, Mikajlo is interested in how life plays many years after the “change” and how much being transsexual matters in a day to day life. Mikajlo is a proud father of a boy and is enjoying challenges of fatherhood.
Vimeo. “Mikajlo Rankovic.”
