Description

Sisterhood is a short documentary about a hair salon in the Bronx, New York, run and owned by a Latina trans woman, Lupe Gonzalez. This film by Mikajlo Ranković was created during a documentary filmmaking course at New York University and consists of interviews with five transgender women who work in a hair salon. "Sisterhood" seeks to explore the themes of working in that area and being transgender. Through interviews, the audience learns how these trans women deal with the challenges of everyday life and work in this part of New York.
