Description

The story of a little boy who knows he is a girl. His tenacity is met by the confusion of his parents and the neighbours' fear of difference which ostracises the family. Director Alain Berliner explained in a press interview, that the film is based on the experience of the screenwriter, Chris Vander Stappen, a woman who thinks she's a man and who is still living as a man, with another woman. The first time you see her, you ask, 'Is she male or female?' I did! The script is her story, but transformed into the case of a little boy who wants to be a girl. Which is more interesting because tomboys are very common now. But when a boy says he wants to wear a dress to school, its still shocking.
