Sydney A.M. is an Irish writer, filmmaker and multimedia artist specialising in surrealist and abstract works. Sydney's debut film as a writer/director is Mildew (2024) and he has an upcoming film to be released in 2025. His interests include short story fiction writing, poetry, scriptwriting (for both stage and screen), stop motion animation (clay, cut-out), underground comics, collage and more. Sydney lists his top influences as William Burroughs, Leonard Cohen, David Lynch, Werner Herzog, Andrei Tarkovsky, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Pressburger & Powell and a multitude more, his top four films being Blue Velvet (1986), Possession (1981), The Servant (1963) and Lawrence of Arabia (1962).
