Biography

Carrie House is a Diné (Navajo)/Oneida Iroquois editor, producer, film director, founder of the Gallup Film Foundation, and contributor to the books Two-Spirit People (Jacobs, Thomas, and Lang [eds.] Citation1997; House Citation1997) and Sovereign Erotics (Driskill, Justice, Miranda, and Tatonetti [eds.] Citation2011; House Citation2011). His/her films include Shi' Life (2013), Two Embrace (2009), and I Am (1993). Together with his/her late brother Conrad House, who was a well-known artist, he/she founded Balancing Factors, a media art and sustainable living contributions project. His/her writings and films explore the lived experiences of 2LGBTIQ.
