Aisling "Ash" Chin-Yee is an award-winning producer, writer, and director based in
Montreal, Canada and Los Angeles, California. Aisling was celebrated on the DOC NYC's
40 under 40 list in 2021. In Canada, she was named a Rising Film Star by Now Magazine
in 2019. That same year, she released her feature film directorial debut, The Rest
of Us, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. In 2020, the documentary
No Ordinary Man, that Aisling co-directed, co-wrote and edited released at TIFF, AFI,
Doc NYC, and picked up awards at festivals between 2020 and 2021. In 2017, Aisling
co-founded the #AfterMeToo movement. Between 2011 and 2017, Aisling produced the critically
acclaimed feature films, Rhymes for Young Ghouls, Last Woman Standing, The Saver and
Inside These Walls, and wrote and directed the short films, Sound Asleep and the multi-award
winning documentary, Synesthesia. In 2021, Aisling is slated to direct the feature
film that she wrote and will direct, The Day Between.
