Lora Campbell is a disabled transgender non binary (pronouns them/they) Canadian Screen Award nominated director and producer from Newfoundland, Canada who has been creating award winning projects for over a decade. A graduate of the Canadian Film Centre’s Producers Lab, their production company Waterford Valley Pictures focuses on exploring stories from underrepresented voices in a multitude of formats including television, documentary, digital and narrative features. Campbell focuses on making sure there is a diversity of voices from script, to screen and is currently the Artistic Director of the ReelAbilities Film Festival Toronto which is dedicated to supporting people living with disabilities in front of and behind the camera. They have created, produced and directed on numerous digital series including #interns, Yoga 101, and Soul Decision Comedy for CBC Digital. They have directed on the Emmy Award Winning Odd SquadI (PBS) Canadian Screen Award Nominated The Fabulous Show with Fay and Fluffy (Amazon Prime), Calico Chats (Hulu), POV: Me (YouTube) and the upcoming Auntie B’s Place (CBC). They are currently developing numerous feature and television projects including Stonewalled which explores the isolation that non binary people experience in society.
