Biography

Morgan Sullivan (he/they) is an NYC-based actor and filmmaker. As a transgender advocate, many of the projects he works on address topics affecting the LGBTQI+ community. Morgan can be seen in multiple television projects, as well as starring in Matthew Puccini’s Sundance-selected film, Dirty (link here) for which he won a Special Recognition in Acting award from SXSW. Dirty was a Vimeo Staff Pick, won Best LGBTQ Film from Short Of The Week, and has been acquired by The Criterion Channel. Morgan also recently performed at Lincoln Center in Transformation with Glenn Close and Ted Nash. Morgan wrote, produced, and starred in Here With You, a romantic short that was produced with an entirely trans cast and crew and screened internationally and at U.S. festivals including Frameline, Outfest, and Newfest. Here With You was included in GLAAD’s Trans Stories/Creators To Watch (full list here). Their most recent short film Going Away (directorial debut, co-directed with Noah Schamus) premiered at Newfest this year. Morgan is the proud founder of the Trans Film Collective, a NYC-based collective focused on building community among trans filmmakers and trans film actors. He is also an active member of Room Tone, a group creating practical solutions for equitable work experiences in the entertainment industry for people of all backgrounds. He believes that accurate representation is key in order for the trans community to thrive, and is excited to create more work that centers trans narratives.

Morgan wrote, produced, and starred in Here With You, a romantic short that was produced with an entirely trans cast and crew, which has screened internationally and at U.S. festivals including Outfest, Newfest, Frameline, and Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival. Here With You was included in GLAAD's Trans Stories/Creators To Watch. His second short film and directorial debut Going Away is currently in post-production.
