Alexis is a gender fluid transgender person in Houston, Texas. She is President of the Transgender Foundation of America (TFA), the Managing Associate of InVoter.us, a regular on the Transadvocate Podcast, former Chair of the Houston Transgender Unity Committee (HTUC), a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Houston GLBT Political Caucus (The Caucus), founding member of IFGE, and an initial member of ETVC (name later changed to TransGender San Francisco). Alexis has is very active in equality and Transgender activism and charities. Since the mid-1960s she has worked to remove anti-equality laws and improve the lives of transgender individuals in Chicago, New York – 1960’s; Dallas – 1970’s; San Francisco, Boston, Houston – 1980’s; Houston, Dallas, Atlanta – 1990’s; Houston, Atlanta, LA – 2000’s; Houston, LA, Brazil – 2010’s and has has run over 39 successful charitable fundraising events in Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Orlando, and Los Angeles supporting charities such as: HTUC, Grace Place, Bryan’s House, AID Atlanta, Someone Cares Atlanta.
