Ajae Clearway

Ajae Clearway specializes in cinematic performance capture for AAA games, movies, and commercials. She works closely with developers to push the boundaries of motion capture to achieve extraordinary narrative performances and stunt action sequences that serve the story while creating a productive, focused, safe and joyful work environment on the stage.

Clearway began her career in post sound on feature films in NYC and Austin, TX including Girlfight, Monsoon Wedding, Cradle Will Rock, Velvet Goldmine, Analyze That, Before Sunset and A Scanner Darkly.

While working towards her MFA in Film at the University of Texas, Austin, Clearway directed the award-winning short documentary One in 2000 and the short narrative, Clouded. Clearway was the lead creative producer and second-unit director of the narrative feature, Mighty Fine, starring Chazz Palminteri and Andie MacDowell and second unit director of the narrative feature, The Quiet, starring Camilla Belle, Elisha Cuthbert and Edie Falco. In 2021, Ajae was the mocap AD on the Ryan Reynolds feature, Free Guy.
