An architect by training, Laurent Bocahut was born in 1964 in Charleville-Mézières, France. In the early 1990s, he founded the production company Dominant 7 with his partner, the Australian documentary filmmaker Philip Brooks, and distributor, Dominique Welinski. Dominant 7 produced stories from the margins of politics, culture and sexuality. Laurent Bocahut is also one of the founders of the Paris Festival de Films Gays et Lesbiens.
