Biography

Calí dos Anjos is an editor and director/videomaker for cinema and, more broadly, the audiovisual field. He has worked as a cameraman/editor with the production company Suma Filmes (Rio de Janeiro), screenwriter for Cajamanga (Rio de Janeiro), and as an editor for I Hate Flash (Rio de Janeiro) and for Prodigious (Publicis Groupe , Paris). His missions have associated him with many companies: among others, Netflix, BNP, Renault, Orange, Fnac, Nike, Puma, Fila, and this for projects with different profiles: series, short and feature films, advertising videos, clips , art videos, and institutional videos. He wrote and directed Tailor , selected in more than 140 festivals in 2017, among them: the International Animation Festival Anima Mundi , the Dok Leipzig , the Queer Lisboa ("Audience Prize"), the Gramado Festival ("Prix du best director"), the Chéries-Chéris festival , and the Tampere Film Festival . He edited the series Drag-Se , broadcast on the channel Canal Brasil , as well as the pilot of the series Drag-Se Summer House ("Best Entertainment Pilot Award" at the International Audiovisual Festival in Rio de Janeiro). He edited the film Verde Violeta , selected at the Mostra Panorama and the Tiradentes festival in Brazil, as well as the video-installations Rodopio and Vulto by the artist Katia Maciel, exhibited in the galleries Zipper , Parque Lage , and in the Caixa Cultural exhibition space in Brazil. Cali Dos Anjos is a graduate of the Cinema and Communication - Radio and TV department of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ-Brazil), he also studied Directing at the New York Film Academy.
