Sal Bardo is a Los Angeles-based screenwriter and director. Sal made his directorial debut in 2010 with the short film Requited, which premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival and for which he won the Audience Award for Best First Time Filmmaker at Reel Affirmations: Washington D.C.'s International LGBT Film Festival. Sal's films have screened at film festivals around the world, have been viewed over 30 million times on YouTube and Vimeo, and have received critical acclaim in The Huffington Post, Out Magazine, Interview Magazine, and more. In 2015, Sal's film Pink Moon won the Jury Prize for Best Short Film at the Big Apple Film Festival. His most recent project, Great Escape, was nominated for the Iris Prize, the world's largest LGBT short film award. Sal is currently working on a TV pilot adaptation of Pink Moon and his first feature-length screenplay, Out of the Woods, based on Great Escape.
