Biography

electronic + media art Raphaële Frigon is a Montreal-based artist, working at the juncture of biology and technology. Her work concurrently explores ideas of dislocated information and identity-building processes. She has performed and exhibited in a wide variety of contexts since 2005, from abandoned buildings to contemporary art festivals.

Raphaële Frigon is a neurovariant queer artist, working in Montreal. She explores the relationships between technology, identity, and biology using mediums such as film, electronic circuits, and agar plates. She performed and exhibited in many contexts in the last ten years: in abandoned buildings, as well as at MUTEK, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, Mois Multi, and Pop Montreal. In 2013, she was awarded the title of Unrecognized Artist of the Year, Hermit by the Museum of Transgender Hirstory & Art.
