I am a Los Angeles freelance filmmaker who is interested in, though not limited to, making films inspired by my many identities and experiences as Mexican-American, queer, and neuroscientist. I grew up in Boyle Heights and went to college at the University of California, Berkeley. I spent 20 years researching and teaching neuroendocrinology, as well as earning a PhD, before switching careers to documentary film and earning an MFA from the Stanford University Documentary Film and Video Program. Currently, I specialize in production sound in the greater Los Angeles Area.

Inspired by stories of her once undocumented father, she has a special interest in the lives of immigrants and their children. Her other subject interests include those related to her gender identity and science background. Veronica holds a PhD in behavioral neuroscience from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a BA in psychology from the UC Berkeley.
