You may be shocked and touched when you hear these interviews with a few of the estimated
6,000 transgender, gender-nonbinary, gender-neutral, and gender-non-normative people
in Slovenia. Some of those featured are activists, yet all reveal what it is like
to live open, authentic lives in the face of conservative standards of gender, fear
of abandonment, and comprehensive cultural invisibility. This engaging film heightens
the visibility of transgender people in Slovenia, who ignore the ever-present pressure
to remain closeted and inspire others to live their lives freely.
