Transgender activist Tony Ferraiolo is a mentor for young people seeking guidance
during transitional times in their lives, as they confront their gender identities
and face coming-of-age experiences. "Create yourself," he exhorts his charges through
workshops and discussions, encouraging others to share what they've learned with people
who don't have access to information about transgender issues. Tony also focuses on
environmental factors at home that could be causing distress, and works with parents
to advance their understanding and awareness of their child's transition. Tony mentors
with candor and compassion as he navigates his own journey toward becoming A SELF-MADE
MAN.
