Description

An homage to what emotions dance allows to leak and bloom. Created as a way to teach film students how to collaborate with and showcase a performance artist's work, Global Media Lab (University of Washington Bothell) students designed, directed, and shot this short dance on film, using my previous body of work and special interests to inspire the world they built for me to dance in. Haunting, lovely, vibrant, weird, funny, eerie, emotional, and sincere, CODA is NEVE's yawp on how much we have endured, and how much more we have to face. It is a meditation on freedom, expression, embodiment, and what it means to survive.
