Description

Treelogy: three mini shorts about queering space/time, and talking to trees - includes films: How to Talk to Trees, We (just) Missed You, and Interview with Your Backyard Trees. Together, they ask the questions, “What does it mean to talk to trees?” and “What part do we play in their story?”
How to Talk to Trees
How to Talk to Trees is an instructional video about the surrendering that is required to reconnect with the ancient parts of ourselves. It stars Toilet Paper, a highly-evolved trash squirrel who effortlessly blends in with a trash saturated world, but who has lost any connection with their ancestral arboreal friends. Will they find their roots again?
We (just) Missed You
Challenging the fear-of-the-other, human-centered alien story, We (just) Missed You follows two gorgeous beings who connect with Earth's trees through this listening/reaction-centered soundscape.
Interview with your Backyard Trees
Inspired by real-life conversations, Interview with your Backyard Trees explores the tree experience in their silent language, and invites the exploration of a different reality of being.
