Description

GLORY TAP premiered on June 28, 2011 at the Bass Museum of Art in the Sol M. Taplin Gallery, as part of the larger production of 42: A STONEWALL PROSPECTIVE by the Pioneer Winter Collective. The performance featured contemporary dance, film, and large scale props in a multidisciplinary performance to recall the events leading to the uprising and violent protests of June 28, 1969, which birthed the modern-day gay civil rights movement. GLORY TAP has been performed live at the Bass Museum of Art (2011), Miami Theater Center (2013), RIFT Blackbox Theater (2015), and VERSUS Pop-Up Queer Exhibition (2015), as well as screened in the San Francisco Transgender Film Festival at CounterPULSE (2012), INDEX International Arts Festival at Museo de Arte Moderno, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (2013), and at Dance Hack at RIFT Blackbox Theater during Dance/USA (2015).
